Fans of improv and whodunnits are invited to a classic murder mystery created from scratch when Murder, She Didn’t Write: The Improvised Murder Mystery comes to Theatre Royal Winchester from Thursday 8 May.
In Murder She Didn’t Write, the cast ask the audience for their suggestions before acting them out, transforming that evening’s brand-new ideas into an Agatha Christie-inspired improv comedy live on stage. The show is created on the spot in front of the audience’s noses and based on their ideas, meaning every performance is original and unique to them! All the audience have to do now is solve the murder mystery before the killer is revealed!
Anything goes – Ms Gold could be poisoned at a synchronised swimming gala; Dr Blue could be exploded by a cannon during a hot air balloon race; Professor Violet could even be crushed to death at a Love Island recoupling!
This multiple sell-out show, which the Scottish Daily Mail described as ‘hilarious’ and ‘a riot’, is performed by Bristol-based Degrees of Error improvised theatre company – founded in 2010, the resident troupe at The Bristol Improv Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe favourites, the cast also teach and mentor emerging troupes in Bristol.
Murder, She Didn’t Write: The Improvised Murder Mystery will be at Theatre Royal Winchester from Thursday 8 – Friday 9 May at 7.30pm. Recommended age: 12+. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
