Creative young people interested in shining a light on their original work are invited to take part in a Makers Market at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 4 April.
Artists, creators and entrepreneurs aged 10 – 25 years are encouraged to apply for a stall to showcase and sell their items they’ve made at the event, which starts at 5pm.
The organisers want to hear from anyone who is passionate about making art, fashion accessories, technological oddities, curios, and more – with this a great opportunity for students, hobbyists and younger participants to sell their work to audiences coming to the theatre that evening – with stalls open pre-show and during the interval.
It will also help them gain exposure with a diverse audience and potential customers and network with other young makers and professionals.
Anyone who is interested in taking part can apply for a stall via the form on the event callout page – https://playmakers.org.uk/news/young-makers-stalls-application
The closing date for applications is 10 March with successful applicants notified with set up and pack down times. Spaces are limited and the sale of food, perfumes and jewellery are not allowed for health and safety reasons.
The Makers Market precedes the Playmakers Youth Takeover at 7pm, which will see the participants of Playmakers’ Youth Theatre take to the stage with a family-friendly evening featuring original shows inspired by the works of William Shakespeare.
This is a Pick Your Price show meaning audiences can enjoy the show from as little as £5. Tickets are available at: playmakers-youth-takeover or by calling Box Office on 01962 840 440.
