Family audiences and music lovers are invited to the story of a musical whizz-kid when Do Not Play This Piano comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 30 October.

Do Not Play This Piano tells of a young boy called William whose school report is not good – but his piano tricks are so impressive his teachers pick him to play at a prestigious concert for Mozart’s birthday celebrations in the city of Salzburg!

However, William can only do tricks so begins his adventure through the blues, tango and rock ‘n’ roll, with a chase through the city, a haunted house and Mozart – who swaps genius wisdom for a glimpse of the future.

The show is written and performed by Will Pickvance who was dubbed Edinburgh Fringe’s favourite pianist by the List magazine and has toured globally with his unique blend of piano playing and storytelling – including Sydney Opera House and the National Theatre of China.

Packed with piano playing and clever animation, Do Not Play This Piano explores a young boy’s dream to play a big concert, but that dream becoming a nightmare when he is given that very opportunity.

Do Not Play This Piano will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 30 October at 2pm. For more information, including about relaxed performances, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
