Culture buffs will be taken on an unforgettable journey through the Italian Renaissance when The DaVinci Michelangelo Experience comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 4 September.
This is a chance for art lovers to rediscover the most exceptional artistic period in history and learn about the artists Michelangelo Buonarroti and Leonardo DaVinci and their most famous works including the Mona Lisa, the Statue of David and DaVinci’s machines, as well as take a look at the ways in which they inspire artists of today and modern invention.
This multi-media theatrical event featuring videos, 3D animation, film clips and images of the artists’ many sketches, inventions, machines, sculptures and paintings is led by Mark Rodgers who started out in production at CBS in Hollywood before curating DaVinci and Michelangelo exhibitions that have toured the USA, Australia, Europe and China – inspiring his production, The DaVinci Michelangelo Experience, which made its theatrical debut in Florida in 2014 and has since toured America, receiving countless award nominations before making its UK debut with a national tour commencing in Winchester next month!
The DaVinci Michelangelo Experience is a thought-provoking and inspiring show that will appeal to all ages, tracing the history, rivalry and creativity of the two artists, as well as encouraging audiences to seek out their own inner DaVinci or Michelangelo.
The DaVinci Michelangelo Experience will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 4 September at 7.30pm. For more information or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
