Southampton-based Mantrafox release ‘I’m Needing You’ today (October 13th).
Mantrafox is the brainchild of singer songwriter Robert Freemantle.
Having ‘squirrelled songs away’ for years, he has emerged from the shadows of depression and anxiety to begin finishing/releasing them at last.
He explains, ‘Addressing the complexities of mental health holds significant personal importance to me. Anxiety and depression for me were sometimes debilitating, and it’s good for others to know they are not as alone as they think they are.’
‘I’m Needing You’ is a song about wanting someone you can’t have. Robert admits he relates strongly to such underdog challenges.
To that end, this October release will drop on Friday 13th, as it’s about being unlucky in love.
The song has a retro feel. Robert describes it as like 2‘60s, meets ‘90s, meets nowadays.’”c
‘Releasing songs at last feels amazing!’ said Robert.
