Another night of live & local music comes to The Greedy Flea (Mercantile Flea) Southampton, on the 19th of August.

The first of these events was held in May to great success and was followed up with another successful night on the 15th of July.

The Merricats.

The August event will feature The Merricats and Anna Muir.

The Merricats, also known as  Sam and Charlotte, perform a mix of their own songs and new versions of popular classic songs. Nothing is off-limits. From the 50s, artists such as The Inkspots to modern-day music. Regular open mic performers, The Mericats are just starting on their musical adventures.

Anna Muir (pictured top) crafts songs to drive and scream to, encapsulating the everyday chaos and mundane.

The event is hosted by Charlie Smith,  an alternative Singer-songwriter from Hampshire. As well as doing his own gigs, he hosts a once-a-month open mic night at River Studios and have taken on the challenge of promoting and organizing local music nights in Southampton, at venues such as The Art House and The Greedy Flea, with the intention of promoting local talent and give a platform to the deserving local artists of the city and surrounding area.
