Theatre Royal Winchester hosts another National Theatre Live cinema screening – the hilarious and award-winning one-woman show, Fleabag, on Friday 16 June.
Fleabag is the story of ‘some sort of woman living her sort of life’!
Oversexed, emotionally unfiltered and self-obsessed is just the tip of the iceberg, with family and friendships under strain, and a guinea pig café struggling to keep afloat – she finds herself with nothing to lose.
Fleabag is written and performed by the multi award-winning actress, writer and executive producer, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, whose credits also include TV series Broadchurch, Killing Eve and His Dark Materials, the James Bond film No Time to Die and more.
It is directed by Vicky Jones (Fleabag, Killing Eve and HBO series Run) and inspired the BBC hit series of the same name, which made Waller-Bridge a household name.
Fleabag was filmed live on stage in London’s West End in 2019 and returns to big screens across the country now after celebrating a box-office record-breaking run in cinemas that same year.
It is presented by Dry Write Theatre Company, co-founded by Waller-Bridge and Jones; Soho Theatre; and Annapurna Theatre – an entertainment company specialising TV, film and video game production, distribution, marketing and finance.
Earlier this year, Theatre Royal Winchester announced it would host a number of screenings of National Theatre productions including The Crucible, Othello, and Life of Pi.
The run of productions features well-known faces from stage and screen.
Tickets for NT Live cost £16 each, with discounted rates for Members and Concessions.
Fleabag will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 16 June at 7pm. Recommended age: 15+. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
