A special day of events to mark Southampton Refugee Week will be held on Saturday, June 24th.
The event is being co-hosted by Southampton Stand Up to Racism alongside local refugee charities SWVG, Southampton Action and Clear.
An organiser from Southampton Stand Up To Racism said: “In the face of this government’s disgraceful rhetoric and inhumane policies towards those seeking sanctuary on our shores, we will be reaffirming our belief that everyone deserves a home and has the right to seek safety for themselves and their families. If you agree, then please join us on Saturday 24 June to celebrate the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees in our city.”
