Audiences will delight as one of the world’s greatest love stories, Romeo and Juliet – performed by an internationally renowned ballet company – who visit Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 5 April.
Based on Shakespeare’s tragic tale, Romeo and Juliet tells of a pair of star-crossed lovers who meet at the opulent Capulet’s ball, sparking a series of devastating events.
From their famous balcony scene to their final embrace, this theatrical production tells the well-known story with astonishing grace and heart-breaking intimacy.
Brought to the stage by Ballet Theatre UK – who return after performing Beauty and the Beast at the city theatre in January – this passionate portrayal features stunning costumes and innovative stage sets that transport the audience to Renaissance Verona.
Ballet Theatre UK began as a platform for talented young dancers to perform quality ballet in provincial theatres across the UK, to provide access to the art form to audiences who may not otherwise be able to witness live ballet.
The company’s production of Romeo and Juliet promises to be an audience favourite.
Romeo and Juliet will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 5 April at 7pm. Recommended age: 12+ (parental guidance). For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
