Prepare your family for a swashbuckling, smash-hit comedy adaptation of the classic Treasure Island – coming to Theatre Royal Winchester from Thursday 23 February.
Based on Louis Stevenson’s legendary tale – but as you’ve never seen it – Treasure Island tells a story of dastardly pirates, tropical islands and a mermaid you’ll never forget. Get ready to set sail with Jim Lad, Long John Silver and a host of other characters for a hilarious voyage across the seas. But will they make it, is everyone who they say they are, and does ‘X’ really mark the spot?
Brought to the stage by La Navet Bete – a multi award-winning theatre company behind productions of The Three Musketeers, Dracula: The Bloody Truth, and A Christmas Carol, for Treasure Island they teamed up with one of UK theatre’s best comedy writers and directors, John Nicholson – who is also co-founder of award-winning comic theatre company, Peepolykus, and has also written for a host of TV and radio series.
Treasure Island will be at Theatre Royal Winchester from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 February, with performances at various times. Recommended age: 7+. For more information or to book tickets visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
