Fans of Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston are invited to an evening celebrating the icons when Gone Too Soon Live: The Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston Show comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 14 February.

Taryn Charles, who is best-known for her breath-taking performance on Britain’s Got Talent and tributes to other legendary singers including Tina Turner, takes to the stage to perform the music of greats, Franklin and Houston.

Charles was introduced to music, specifically jazz and age, at an early age by her grandad and went onto hone her craft at the prestigious Barbara Speake Sage School before shaping a career that has taken her from singing in intimate jazz clubs to arenas; with the likes of Candi Staton and disco supergroup, Odyssey; and on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent – with an audition that earned her the coveted Golden Buzzer, gaining her a place in the show’s semi-finals and making her a household name.

Charles now appears in Gone Too Soon Live to perform a range of soaring ballads and soulful anthems originally made famous by singer, songwriter and pianist Aretha Franklin – named the ‘Queen of Soul’ by Rolling Stone magazine – and one of the best-selling music artists of all time – singer, actress and film producer Whitney Houston.

Gone Too Soon Live: The Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston show will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 14 February at 7.30pm. For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
