Preview: 50 Years of Fender: The Stratocaster Story, Theatre Royal Winchester

Fans of the world’s most iconic guitar, the Fender Stratocaster, will be excited to learn that a celebration of the instrument returns to Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 13 February.

50 Years of Fender: The Stratocaster Story tells the story of the world’s most recognisable guitar through the five most important decades of the instrument’s 70-year history. It features the songs and guitar players that made the Fender Stratocaster a staple of modern music making and features the music of the likes of Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, Buddy Holly, Bryan Adams and more.

The show is presented by lead guitarist and vocalist, David Knight, who studied performance industries and lectures in audio engineering; performs in the Dire Straits tribute show, ds:uk, and the Phil Collins tribute, Seriously Collins; and produces local artists in Southampton. He is joined by charismatic musicians and expert guitarists whose passion for the music and the instrument shine through.

50 Years of Fender: The Stratocaster Story will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 13 February at 7.30pm. For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
