Audiences not partaking in Dry January may be interested to learn about the drinks-based musical, The Booze-ical, coming to Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 17 January.
This brand-new all-singing all-dancing show takes to the stage to prove that the pub – and indeed alcohol – are cornerstones of civilization – with five free drinks for every audience member included!
The Booze-ical, which comes to Winchester after a sell-out run in Edinburgh last year, is hosted by The Thinking Drinkers – former pub and bar reviewer Ben McFarland and spirit and cocktail magazine editor Tom Sandham – who, as part of their musical extravaganza, will raise a glass to a heady cocktail of historical characters.
The award-winning drinks experts are known for their appearances on magazine shows such as ITV’s This Morning and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch; they have written a number of books including The Thinking Drinkers Almanac, host a podcast and run a spirits subscription club.
The Thinking Drinkers will be joined on stage by comedy girl band, Flat and the Curves, whose songs have featured on BBC TV and radio; and whose award-winning cabaret show Girls Night Out came to the theatre in July last year.
The Booze-ical will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 17 January 2025 at 7.30pm. Age restriction: 18+. For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
