The energy for Lacuna Coil in Bournemouth last night was incredible (18/10/24). From the line outside until the very end of the show, everybody was so amped and ready for what was to come and rightfully so.
Blind Channel kicked off the evening with PHOBIA which got the crowd moving right from the get go. This band put on such an incredible show with strong vocals amazing guitar and gut punching drums. A stand out moment for me was when they played Dark Side – the song made the whole crowd jump and sing along with the vocals throwing their hands in the air. It is safe to say this set really set up the evening and matched Lacuna Coil’s set very well.
Lacuna Coil came out to Blood, Tears, Dust which was a strong start, sending the fans into a craze of singing and screaming the words back at the band.
The set design was mesmerizing to watch and did a great job complimenting the war paint the band were wearing.
Even when I was walking around the venue everybody had their eyes set on the band you could almost feel the connection between artist and viewer.
The music itself was written with skill and knowledge and this transferred onto the stage. Watching the band members with their instruments was sensational you could tell they have put in hours of practice to master their craft.
For several of the songs the music was so loud I could feel it in my chest, making me want to move and scream with the crowd.
The final song of the night was Nothing Stands in our Way, which was the perfect ending to a perfect set. The crowd screamed this song the loudest and with the most passion – you could tell it is one of their most popular songs and for very good reason. This bands songs, translate so well into a live environment.
This was an incredible show and I will be going back next time they are in town. I highly recommend seeing both these bands if you get the chance.
