Preview: Kiri Pritchard-McLean: Peacock, Theatre Royal Winchester

Comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean returns with her new show, Peacock, at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 19 October.

The multi-award-winning comedian, satirist and writer’s show explores becoming a foster parent; and lifts a lid on social workers, first aid training, and what not to do when a vicar searches for you on YouTube.

Kiri is known for hosting Live at the Apollo; appearances on the likes of 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Have I Got News for You and QI; fronting the Radio 4 panel show, Best Medicine – which was nominated for Best Comedy Panel Show at the British Comedy Awards; co-creating and co-hosting the cult podcast about serial killers, All Killa No Filla; and also starting a comedy school.

Peacock is a joyous, uplifting show from a comedian who is known for creating ‘powerhouse stand-up from the thorniest of subjects’ – according to The Guardian newspaper.

As part of her tour, Kiri is asking audiences to bring with them to her shows, handwriting pens and HB pencils in good working order that she can give to the charity, Pens For Kids UK, to distribute to children around the world to help them continue with their education.

Kiri Pritchard-McLean: Peacock will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 19October at 7.30pm. Recommended age: 15+ (includes some strong language). For more information or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
