Child audiences will be left mesmerised by a host of lovable puppets on stage when The Very Hungry Caterpillar comes to Theatre Royal Winchester from Saturday 14 September.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar shares author and illustrator Eric Carle’s beloved story of a hungry caterpillar who munches through a range of healthy fruits before gobbling up chocolate cake, ice cream, swiss cheese, sausage and much more – in a story that has delighted generations since 1969 and sold over 48 million copies worldwide.

This critically acclaimed production also features three more adaptations of Carle favourites including The Very Busy Spider, 10 Little Rubber Ducks and Brown Bear, Brown Bear – which celebrates over 50 years and more than 18 million copies sold – plus, the 75 friendly and expressive puppets that appear on stage – from Brown Bear himself to a flamingo, a cat, a frog, the 10 little ducks, The Very Hunger Caterpillar of course, and many more.

Created by the award-winning Jonathan Rockefeller whose productions also include Sesame Street the Musical and Paddington Gets in a JamThe Very Hungry Caterpillar has enjoyed extended runs around the world including in the UK, America, Australia and New Zealand.
