Singer Camille O’Sullivan performs intensely dramatic interpretations of favourite songs in Loveletter at Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 11 September.
The show sees the multi-award-winning singer – known for her unique take on songs – performing tracks and stories about love, loss, joy, light and darkness, choosing music from her favourite writers Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Radiohead, Jacques Brel and Arcade Fire – as well as singing new originals in a one-off intimate evening.
Within the show, she also pays respect to her dearly departed friends, singers Sinead O’Connor and Shane McGowan (of The Pogues – who Camille toured with for many years).
Camille O’Sullivan has stunned audiences around the world and sold out venues, such as Royal Festival Hall, in London and the Sydney Opera House, Australia with her five-star rated performances. She is known as the original star of the Olivier-award winning circus, cabaret and comedy show, LaClique; has since performed on the BBC’s Later with Jools Holland; and won the prestigious Herald Angel Award for her solo performance in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s The Rape of Lucrece.
Camille’s dark, sexy and mesmerising performances are full of joy and pure passion and audiences to Theatre Royal Winchester should expect an intense emotional and theatrical experience.
