A company which has been singled out as a target of a far-right rally in Southampton on Wednesday (7/8/24), amongst a string of immigration services being targeted across the country, specialises in helping people move to Canada and Australia.

In a post on social media, the Southampton company has said:

Their Facebook account describes them as “the World’s No.1 Overseas Career Consultant. Established in 1999, 50+ company-owned and managed offices across UAE, Australia, India and Canada”.

Meanwhile, anti-racist and anti-fascist groups in Southampton have come together to stand against far-right violence, hatred and terrorism in the city, with a demonstration taking place on Wednesday (7/8/24) beginning at the Peace Fountain in the city’s East Park at 7pm.

Victoria Ugwome of Southampton Stand Up To Racism said:

“When we hear of things that shouldn’t be happening in our city, we come together and say ‘no – not welcome here’,” she said.

“We say no to violence, intimidation, hatred.

“Our city is diverse and rich and we can’t have that (hatred) growing in our city.”
