To mark their royal return to Mayflower Theatre in 2025, and yet another sell out run this year, Mayflower Theatre and SIX visited Tudor House in Southampton to visit the Bronze Cannon which is in situ in the house garden.
The cast of SIX visited the bronze cannon which was made for Henry VIII in 1542 by the Italian, Arcanus of Cesna.
Allegedly the cannon was then gifted to the city of Southampton, for the defence of the town, although rumours also suggest that the cannon may once have been upon the Mary Rose.
