Fans of the rock band Dire Straits are invited to an evening celebrating their award-winning music when DS:UK perform at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 11 July.

The band bring to the stage their highly anticipated The Alchemical Tour, which pays tribute to Dire Straits’ infamous live album – Alchemy: Dire Straits Live – their first official live album featuring recordings made over two nights of their 1982 – 83 Love Over Gold tour. This special DS:UK tour features the music and stories of Dire Straits’ early career with something extra that audiences will not expect!

Dire Straits were a British rock band formed in the late 70s who started out supporting the likes of Elvis Costello before touring the world including Europe, America and Australia and playing at Live Aid and the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute – with Sting and Eric Clapton joining them for each performance. A multi-million selling band, they became well-known for classics such as Sultans of Swing and Money For Nothing and in 2018 they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

DS:UK – a band made up of six world-class musicians and also fans of the band – they began touring in 2018 and have become the quintessential tribute to Dire Straits, selling out venues across the country with their Brothers in ’85 and ON anoTHEr NIGHT tours.

The Alchemical Tour is going to be something special for all Dire Straits fans.
