Paloma Faith’s TKMaxx Summer Sessions performance in Southampton tonight has been cancelled due to ill health.

In a post on various social media platforms, the singer wrote:

“I’m incredibly upset and disappointed to announce that I need to cancel my show tonight in Southampton.

After suffering from exhaustion and catching various illnesses from my kids my voice has been severely affected and my range is compromised. I have sought advice from medical professionals, they have advised that I need to rest my voice and that means I’ve had to cancel tonight’s show. I’m so sorry to everyone who bought tickets, I’ve lo0ved being on the rad and seeing all your gorgeous faces and I’m gutted I won’t be dancing with you tonight. There will; be other opportunities in the future I’m sure.

“Ticket holders will be able to claim refunds from point of purchase.

“Loads of love,

Paloma x”

She prefaced the statement on X with the words “Southampton, I’m so sorry to do this…”

It is not yet known whether the Only Love Can Hurt Like this singer will be well enough to appear at her scheduled performance at Glastonbury on Sunday.

The team behind Southampton Summer Sessions have stated that ticketholders will automatically receive a refund.

In a social media statement they said:

“We regret to inform you that tonight’s show with Paloma Faith at Southampton Summer Sessions has been cancelled. We wish Paloma a speedy recovery.
Ticket holders will receive a full refund from Ticketmaster automatically, so there is no need to contact us at this time. Please allow up to 7 days for the refund to be processed. If you purchased a ticket elsewhere, please contact that point of purchase.”

Paloma Faith’s social media posts making the announcement have been met with floods of well-wishes for the Brit Award winning singer and author.

The star has recently been counting down to her festival performances by sharing photos of previous stage outfits and has also used her platform to highlight the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

She recently posted “while I’m prepping for festivals and Glastonbury it’s important for me not to overlook the harrowing situation of 40000 or more people killed in Gaza during the genocide. Celebrate life and share the joy of that but never forget those who don’t have the geographical luck we have.”
