A monthly artisanal market has been launched in Southampton’s Carlton Place, hosting over 25 stalls each month showcasing their wares.
The market launched on the 6th April where there was great visitor attendance from the local community. It is organised by Gaia Health Store Co Founders André and Emma Moreira.
The market has been very well received with both traders and visitors as Southampton lacked a regular location for small independent businesses to showcase the wonderful products they make, produce and craft. The market has something for everyone including, natural dog treats from Barney’s Bites, Face Painting from Arti Marga, Cupcakes & Brownies from Karol’s Cakes, Hand Crafted Silver Jewellery from Izabela Haylor, Bangladeshi Food from Party Bitez and much more!
Gaia Health Store is a small independent health and wellbeing shop run by husband and wife team André and Emma Moreira, which opened in February 2022. They decided to set up the Carlton Place Market to utilize the new pedestrianized area of Carlton Place and to bring some life and vibrancy to the area during the day, as it is known for its strong night time economy.
