Peace protest for Palestine to be held in Southampton this weekend

With the ongoing onslaught on civilians in Gaza by Israeli forces, this weekend there will once again be a peace protest held in Southampton, calling for a ceasefire.

The protest will take place on Saturday, June 15th, from noon, outside the Civic Centre (opposite Stage Door).

It is the latest in a string of events in the city organised by Palestine Solidarity Campaign Southampton and Stop the War, which have seen local residents turn out in their hundreds to mourn the killing of innocent men, women and children, and to demand a ceasefire. Of the 36,000 Palestinians slain in the genocide, 70% are women and children.

A Spokesperson for PSC Southampton said: “With the election coming up, we should also talk about politics,  national politics – what can we do to put Palestine on the election agenda and to influence this.”
