Local conductors Craig Lawton and Paul Ingram return to Turner Sims, Southampton, for the 4th instalment of their epic musical marathon fundraisers.
Tchaikathon takes place on Sunday 3 March. Over just one day, a hand-picked orchestra, made up of local players from across a number of orchestras in the city, will perform some of Tchaikovsky’s most famous works across three concerts.
There’s music people will know and love – including The Nutcracker Suite, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, and Swan Lake. The first concert is at 11am – a lovely event to attend with children as an introduction to live orchestral music!
It’s an all-day musical marathon, filled with some of Tchaikovsky’s best-loved works – and all to raise money for Mountbatten Hampshire.
