Paloma Faith and AIR as the latest headliners for the inaugural TK Maxx presents Southampton Summer Sessions series this summer.
Some 25 years after its release, AIR will play “Moon Safari” live in its entirety when they headline on 27 June. The new headliners join previously announced Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Tom Jones, Madness and Kaiser Chiefs on the growing lineup of unmissable acts who will take over Southampton’s Guildhall Square for Southampton Summer Sessions from 15 to 30 June. On Thursday 27 June, Southampton Summer Sessions can expect to see a moment straight out of a cosmic anecdote as pioneering French electronic duo, AIR, take to the stage. Their groundbreaking debut album “Moon Safari” propelled them to international fame 25 years ago, featuring hit singles in ‘Kelly Watch The Stars’, ‘All I Need’ and ‘Sexy Boy’, selling millions of copies around the world. AIR has consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic music, with soundscapes and impeccable production having earned them a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. Expect to see 25 years on why “Moon Safari” has stood the test of time by seeing them perform the album live in its entirety for the very first time.
Paloma Faith is set to bring her distinctive blend of lavish pop and honest storytelling to Southampton’s Guildhall Square this summer on Friday 28 June.
