Cosy up for winter at The Greyhound on the Test, a 16th century characterful retreat with seven dog-friendly en-suite rooms and three accessible cottages.
Looking ahead to the festive season, guests will find crackling fires, twinkling lights, and delicious food, whether they’re enjoying a relaxed festive gathering with family or a lively Christmas party with friends.
The renowned restaurant is run by Phill Bishop and holds two AA Rosettes, with an emphasis on local and fresh produce ,and imaginative dishes which can be enjoyed in the welcoming pub or the riverside garden.
The Greyhound’s Seasonal Feast – available for lunch and dinner from 1 – 23 December – will feature a delicious three-course menu priced £48pp which can be enjoyed in the restaurant, the courtyard dining domes or the private dining room, The Hound Room, which seats up to 16 people.
And, from 14 November, the Greyhound’s heated Dining Domes are returning for groups of friends to enjoy for lunch or dinner. The domes fit between 6-12 guests and are situated in the relaxing garden overlooking the River Test.
The Greyhound on the Test accommodation features contemporary touches, including cosy underfloor heating, walk in showers and roll top bath, Molton Brown bathroom products and Bose Bluetooth multimedia system and honesty bar stocked with tipples, snacks and extras.
The Greyhound on the Test is located in the Test Valley region, voted one of the best places to live in 2022, and known for its pick of independent delis, cafés, shops and picturesque villages, plus the River Test for world-class fly fishing. Guests can also enjoy country pursuits like clay pigeon shooting nearby.
