It’s a big week if you’re into musicals, with he iconic song-and-dance spectacular, 42nd Street, at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre from 3 – 7 October, while there’s exciting theatre with MAST Mayflower Studios’ revival of Athol Fugard, John Kani and Winston Ntshona’s Sizwe Banzi is Dead, (pictured) which runs from Friday 6 to Saturday 14 October 2023.
Down the road, no longer teenage Dirtbags, Wheatus will be in Portsmouth this week, while fans of period dramas and gothic thrillers are in for an evening of spine-tingling tales when The Haunting comes to Theatre Royal Winchester from Thursday 5 October.
