Fraser T Smith bringing Future Utopia to The Joiners, Southampton, this month

World renowned artist, songwriter, musician and producer Fraser T Smith is hitting the road with his first Future Utopia headline tour this month. Starting at Glasgow’s King Tuts Wah Wah Hut on 18 October, the 12 date tour includes The Joiners, Southampton, on 30 October.

Future Utopia’s upcoming headline tour follows a number of brilliantly received summer festival dates at Glastonbury, Bluedot and Wilderness.

Speaking about the new tour, Fraser says: The Future Utopia band and I are beyond excited to be doing our first headline tour. It’s a real thrill to be playing at so many of the iconic venues we all played when we were kids’.

Future Utopia’s new EP We Were We Still Are was released on 18 August and includes Make It Home featuring TOMI, Your Love with Biig Piig, We Were We Still Are with Kae Tempest and This Time, which sees Fraser singing lead vocals for the first time on a Future Utopia release. The EP’s previous singles have received a great reaction across press ‘a new psychedelic rock sound laced with great vocals from Kae Tempest’ (Evening Standard), radio with A List support at BBC 6 Music and with editorial playlists (The Times, The Independent, New Music Friday & Brand New UK).

Fraser recently announced details of his new ‘Future Producer Academy’ in partnership with PPL and the Music Producers Guild. Aimed at tackling the pervasive issue of under representation in the music industry, the new Academy will select promising producers to work with Fraser and his extensive network to build their success via a combination of financial backing and unique educational opportunities.

Fraser T Smith is a multi-award winning, internationally acclaimed artist, producer, songwriter and musician – one of the most in demand creators in contemporary music today. He has co-written, mixed and produced 7 Number One singles in the UK, 2 Billboard Number One singles in the US, and contributed to 18 Number 1 albums. Having spent most of his career producing and songwriting for some of the biggest artists in the world (Adele, Stormzy, Sam Smith, Florence and the Machine, Drake, Gorillaz, Kano, Dave and more) he released his own debut album, 12 Questions, in October 2020, under the moniker ‘Future Utopia’. 12 Questions features an incredible roll call of some of Britain’s most vital and brilliant artists, including Stormzy, Dave, Kano, Ghetts, Bastille, Es Devlin, Simon Armitage and Idris Elba and discusses issues including faith, freedom, race, gender, wealth, equality and ecology.
