An award-winning singer celebrates one of the biggest names in music history with the Johnny Cash Roadshow at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 14 September.
As the only show to be endorsed by the Cash family, country music performer Clive John pays homage to Cash, with his iconic wife June Carter played by singer Meghan Thomas – delivering classics such as Walk the Line, Ring of Fire and Boy Named Sue to name a few; as well some of the singer’s darker songs from the later American Recordings such as Hurt.
Clive John is a singer-songwriter with eight albums of his own material to his name, with his seventh nominated for Best British Country Album of the year, while Thomas, has performed around the world with residencies throughout the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
They will be joined by a stellar band featuring a double bass, fender telecaster, acoustic guitars, drums, piano, trumpet and four-part vocal harmonies.
The longest running, most recognised and biggest celebration of this country music icon, the Johnny Cash Roadshow is an emotional rollercoaster through his career, which receives standing ovations every night.
Johnny Cash Roadshow will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 14 September at 7.30pm. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
