Nature documentary fans can enjoy a talk by wildlife cameraman Doug Allan at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 9 September.
It’s A Wrap looks back at the multi Emmy and Bafta award-winning natural history photographer’s successes and setbacks of 35 years in the business of natural history film-making, as well as his take on climate change and it’s impacts on the world’s wild places including what emphasis and direction should be incorporated in wildlife films.
Doug Allan – who is touring this critically acclaimed brand-new show following a sell-out run in Ireland last year – has been involved in the making of over 65 films for the likes of the BBC, Discovery and the National Geographic.
He has filmed for documentary series including Planet Earth, Frozen Planet, Forces of Nature and many more; and made over 25 trips to the Antarctic and more than 30 across the Arctic.
With his experience filming the seas, twice winning the underwater category in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, and scientific credentials as a marine biologist – Doug Allan has a unique perspective on the issues surrounding climate change, and worked on the award-winning documentary, A Plastic Ocean.
Doug Allan: It’s A Wrap will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 9 September at 7pm.For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
