Mums who are looking for an honest take on motherhood will appreciate Priscilla Queen of the Disaster, which is performed at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 8 September.
This one-woman show tells of how motherhood isn’t about paying a photographer to take a perfect photo of a baby curled up in a basket, but is brutally honest about tears streaming down one’s face and the sometimes-savage experiences that come with being a mum.
It’s a chance to face up to letting go of what everyone thought motherhood would be and hope that sharing will help everyone feel better!
Priscilla Queen of the Disaster is brought to the stage by writer and performer, Susie, of It’s OK Susie – mum of two boys, who also writes a blog and hosts a podcast about her experiences.
Her show has a history of sell-out performances and well-attended post-show discussions.
This performance includes a post-show chat and while the recommended age is 14+, the matinee performance is designed for mums to bring their babies and little ones to the show.
Priscilla Queen of the Disaster is a Pick Your Price show meaning audiences can select a ticket price that works best for them, making a range of shows accessible. Ticket options for Priscilla start at £8 (evening performance), £6 (matinee).
Priscilla Queen of the Disaster will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Friday 8 September at 1.30pm and 7.30pm. Recommended age: 14+. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
