Crimes on Centre Court

Date: Thursday 7 – Saturday 9 September 2023

When Lord Knows – the chair of The Whombledun International Invitational Tennis Tournament – dies, his son, Hugh, is suspicious.

The police won’t take the case, so Hugh calls in private investigators Perry & Penny Pink, to get to the bottom of things.

What follows has all the hallmarks of New Old Friends’ brand of hilarity, as a cast of four performers play countless characters with quick-fire changes and quicker wits.

This show will rally your spirits and leave you wanting a second serve-ing of the volley of gags and visual delights.

Tongue Fu – How To Play a poem Like a Song

Poets, writers and storytellers take centre-stage, accompanied by the quick-witted musicians of the Tongue Fu band.

This showcase will feature local writers from Artful Scribe’s How to Play a Poem Like a Song writing course, plus special guests and is supported by Arts Council England.

Featuring a host of musical favourites which held particular significance for much-loved giants of the regional theatre scene, teenage actor Ben Pavitt and musical director Nigel Finch, both sadly lost to cancer since 2021.
