Preview: West End Magic, Theatre Royal Winchester

Magic fans of all ages can delight in the wonders of West End Magic, which comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 26 August.

West End Magic is a family friendly show packed with award-winning magic, hilarious comedy, mind reading mystery, audience participation, illusion and crazy stunts.

Direct from the Leicester Square Theatre, London’s longest-running theatre magic show features some of the most exciting names in magic and variety. Including British Champion of Magic, Oliver Tabor – who has performed to audiences worldwide and advised on films such as Now You See Me 2, magical compere Wayne Trice – who aside from performing magic has decades of theatre experience in lighting, sound, stage management and directing, and a line-up of other special guest acts.

Suitable for audiences from 5 – 105, West End Magic was born out of a young magicians’ club, whose members met weekly at Davenport’s Magic Shop, in Charing Cross, London – the world’s oldest family-run magic shop.

Here they created card tricks and illusions to perform to the public before they disbanded – until 2007, when some of the original members of that club reformed to create a show that evolved into West End Magic.

Now celebrating 10 years, West End Magic is the perfect family treat to round up the summer holidays.

West End Magic will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 26 August at 7pm. Recommended age: 5+. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
