Southampton People’s Assembly is taking part in a nationwide Right to Food day of action against Food Poverty today (22 July).
A rally will be held in Southampton city centre, in Above Bar, from noon to 2pm.
A spokesperson said: “We will be holding a street event about everyone having the right to access good quality food at prices we can afford. We say free school meals for kids, freeze food prices, £15 minimum wage, tax profits and increase pensions.”
Protesters will be gathering outside Poundland. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
