Tickets for Let’s Rock: The Retro Festival are selling fast as the popular ‘80s retro event prepares to transform Southampton Common into sea of neon on Saturday 8 July.
Thousands of revellers will descend on the city to dust off their dancing shoes and enjoy a day of gloriously unpretentious fun to a non-stop line-up, including headliners Soft Cell and The Boomtown Rats.
Since its launch in 2008, Let’s Rock has offered something a little different to festival-goers in an annual celebration of all things pop and ‘80s, where iconic names play hit after hit to a crowd of all ages.
This year’s back-to-back support acts set to rock Southampton include Kim Wilde, Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Neville Staple, Heaven 17, The Farm, Go West, Blancmange, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, and Sinitta.
Let’s Rock is a family-friendly festival and children can enjoy complimentary activities within the Kids’ Kingdom area, with an interactive circus, face painting, inflatables and more.
For adults, there are multiple bars and a Club Tropicana themed VIP area, and, of course, the all-important posh loos. 2023 will also see Let’s Rock partner with the national digital radio station Absolute 80s for the first time.
Prepare to dance the day away to a range of top chart hits, like Tainted Love, I Don’t Like Mondays, Kids in America, We Close Our Eyes, Temptation, and So Macho.
