Singer-songwriter Charlie Smith from Hampshire is playing a gig on home turf this month, at The Hobbit, Southampton.
He describes his music as “chillingly sweet, raw, and emotive,” adding “In keeping my honest approach to music my recordings have no unnecessary effects, focusing on chords and melody above all else.”
Charlie is an experienced live performer, and has played at venues including Lock 91 (Manchester) The Garage (London) The Brunswick (Brighton) and The Railway Inn as well as at local events including Music in the City and The Beggar’s Fair.
He released his album, Not A Demo Anymore in November last year, which followed 2021’s EP I Just Want to Sleep.
Charlie will be on the bill alongside Rhirhi, Anna Muir and River Knight at The Hobbit on May 28.
Tickets are £5, with music starting at 6.30pm.
