Sherlock Holmes fans can enjoy another Conan Doyle classic with Watson: The Final Problem at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 4 May.
A tale of buried secrets, betrayal and death set in 1894, Watson is alone in London as Sherlock Holmes and his beloved Mary are gone.
The city seethes with false reports, rumour and poisonous intrigue, and Watson must face his greatest ever challenge.
It is time to set the record straight and for Watson to tell his story and journey across Europe to the Reichenbach Falls – and for the intrepid detectives to face their nemesis, Professor Moriarty.
A one-man show that enjoyed sell out performances at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2021 and last year, Watson: The Final Problem is brought to the stage by Bert Coules – the BBC’s Head Writer on the radio adaptations of The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and actor Tim Marriot (as Watson) – who played Gavin in the BBC sitcom, The Brittas Empire.
Following the sitcom, Marriot enjoyed a second career in education before returning to the stage in 2017 and travelling around the world with plays exploring PTSD and the Holocaust.
Watson: The Final Problem will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 4 May at 7.30pm. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
