Comedian Al Murray returns to Winchester with his Gig for Victory Tour Warm Up, with two shows at Theatre Royal Winchester on Monday 1 May.
The house-hold name’s show, Gig for Victory, explores how – now that the dust has settled – the men and women of this country need answers. Answers they know they need and answers to questions they never knew existed.
And, the people’s man of the people, the Pub Landlord, will be the one to provide those answers. Steeped in deep and ancient bar-room wisdom acquired from countless lock-ins, the Pub Landlord will show the way – offer the people, thirsty for common sense, a full pint of the good stuff.
The character of the Pub Landlord has now appeared on the small screen and in theatres across the country, while his creator, Al Murray – one of the most recognisable and successful comics in the UK – has guest-starred on children’s TV, presented documentaries, won a string of awards and accolades, and written a number of books.
Al Murray: Gig for Victory Tour Warm Up will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Monday 1 May at 5.30pm and 9pm. Recommended age: 14+. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
