Nature is brought to life by contemporary flamenco dance piece, Blue Ghost, which visits Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 25 March.
Described as visual, dynamic and luminous, the show leads the audience into the light and dark of the natural world, through the beauty of the Blue Ghost Firefly.
Featuring rich, rhymical and expressive flamenco with live electronic music by composer and sound artist Nick Rothwell from Cassiel, Blue Ghost reminds the audience of their interconnectedness and embraces their need for transformation, showing them that even the smallest creatures have an important part to play.
A dance piece produced by the award-winning dotdotdance Dance, and choreographed by the company’s Co-Artistic Directors Noemi Luz and Magdalena Mannion – who play homage to flamenco while stretching its boundaries.
Blue Ghost is also a collaboration with insect conservation societies, Xerces and Buglife UK – each founded to protect the natural world by conserving invertebrates and their habitats.
Blue Ghost will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 25 March, at 7.30pm. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
