Do you need a good laugh to chase away the winter blues? Then you’re in luck.
Audiences can expect another top night of laughs from Winchester Comedy Festival with their Winter Gala 2022 on Thursday 8 December at Theatre Royal Winchester.
This season’s event features stand-up comedy from Isy Suttie, Luisa Omielan, Josh Pugh and Tom Deacon as MC.
Comedian Isy Suttie is best-known for playing Dobby in Channel 4’s Peep Show, and in TV’s Shameless and Man Down – as well as featuring on comedy panel shows from QI to 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is the creator of an award-winning BBC Radio 4 series, has been nominated for three British Comedy Awards and is a published author.
Luisa Omielan is the creator of solo stand-up show, What Would Beyonce Do? – which became a BBC special and a book. She was also the first comic to receive a BAFTA Breakthrough award. While Josh Pugh performs stand up around the country and has toured Australia. He has written for ITV’s The Emily Atack Show and is the winner of English Comedian of the Year
The evening’s MC, Tom Deacon, has appeared on TV’s The Rob Brydon Show and Dave’s One Night Stand, hosted his own BBC Radio 1 show; and even followed The Champions League around the world as ‘The Eurofan’ – gaining one million views on Youtube.
