Friends of St. James’ Park in Shirley, Southampton, held their first ever ‘ Village Show’ on Sunday (September 25), a fun-filled and free community event which included vegetable, cake, flowers and art competitions.
The event included a stage, featuring live band music, choir, and young dance group performers as well as more than 40 stalls, including the Bike Doctor, penalty try out, face painting, tombola, skate school, Chinese arts and crafts, bouncy castle and lots more. In addition to all this there will be a hot drinks and home baked cake stand, and more food stalls.
Friends of St. James’ Park is a charity, run and supported by a group of volunteers, who are local people from diverse backgrounds and experience. Its aims are to celebrate and enhance the life of our park and its community, by bringing communities together.
