Could your artwork help your favourite good cause? Adults and children are being invited to create a poster representing what charity means to them, which will them be auctioned to raise money charity or community interest company (CIC).
The artwork could be about charity in general or the organisation they want to support from those taking part: The Rainbow Centre, Prior’s Court, VieNess CIC, Macmillan Caring Locally, Merlin’s Magic Wand and Minstead Trust. People then donate the artwork to the organisation they want to support.
Posters can be made in any medium and must be photographed to be sent to the organisation of the creator’s choice, ready for uploading on the dedicated 50 50 website on February 28. After this date, all artwork will be available for viewing, with the auction running from March 10. The charity or CIC will arrange for the art to be sent to the winning bidders. The auction is being facilitated by Silk Bow Group.
Vie Portland, of VieNess CIC, based in Southampton, which aims to help people learn to love themselves, encourages everyone to get involved, saying: “This is a wonderful collaboration of charitable organisations, coming together to encourage creativity and awareness.”
